Birthday Alert!!!

As humans, we are prone to being forgetful whether we like it or not.  There is no one in this world that can say, he remembers everything he encountered in his life.  And so as birthdays... So we should be thankful to Facebook and other social networks for keeping us updated and informed.

So, what did I do during my birthday?  I lighted some candles in the church and gave thanks for another pleasant year the Lord had given me.  And for the wonderful family that I have.  I prayed for good health, protection and guidance for another year in my life... that I may always be at the right path, the path in my life that had been prepared for me... His reason, why I was born in this world.

Then, we bought a gift for my niece, and attended her birthday celebration at Zoofari, a local children playhouse.   Well, that's the good thing about having someone in the family being born on a date the same as yours.  It seemed that I had a free children's party on my birthday (speaking of not having one when I was a child... LOL.)  Well, maybe it wasn't common back in our days, as there were lesser fastfood chains back then and almost none of them where offering packages for birthdays... The agony of being born in the 70's... hahaha.

With my birthdaymate, Jhia Kyle...

My birthday "trip"... letting the kid in me takeover... LOL!!!

Whether just being reminded by Facebook or just having a good memory for friends birthday (hehehe), the mere fact that someone took time to write warm greetings on your day, was enough to melt my heart and put a smile on my face.  To the warm hugs and kisses from my wife and kids... and to the personal greetings received from some relatives and friends... I thank the Lord for making this day worth celebrating... my deepest appreciation to all.  Yahweh bless.

My Very Special Day

This day the Lord blessed me with life, the day when I first experienced what was like in the outside world.  Indeed, a very special day for me, for if not for it, I won’t be here with my family today, I won’t experience all the things that I had in life, I won’t be able to know all the wonderful people around me and celebrate with me today... I’m truly blessed and I have a lifetime to thank Him for it.

We had a simple gathering and thanksgiving. Just enough food for all the guests that arrived in our home.  Most of the dishes were cooked by my mom and my wife; some were experiments (that went well and tasted good) while some were her ( my mom's) specialty like the macaroni salad.  We also bought some cakes from sugar munch (one of my wife’s fave) and there were also delicacies brought by my relatives and visitors.  All in all, the food was great, and just enough for all to be satisfyingly full... LOL.

I’m also overwhelmed by all my friends who greeted me in the social networking sites (i.e. facebook, google, yahoo and others).  Some were dear to me, longtime friends, classmates, co-bloggers, and acquaintances.  Really, it’s a good thing these sites have birthday reminders and on-time comments, news feeds and other stuff.  Communication just got easier, quicker, up-to-date and personal.  My sincere thanks for finding time to write something wonderful...

And what do you know, my next birthday maybe free.  My sister-in-law gave birth today to a beautiful niece on my birthday.  Glad her delivery went well and baby Jhia Kyle was in perfect condition.  Welcome to the world, I hope we will have a lot of wonderful birthdays together. May you grow up to be a healthy, loving, and sweet little girl. May you be surrounded with love from your family and the people around you. Welcome to our family my dear and congratulations to my brother, Joey and sis Rhia for a bouncing pretty girl!

I just have simple wishes for my birthday, blessings of good health to my family and may we just have enough to live comfortably in life... which Yahweh had been continually blessing me for the past years of my life until now... and I'm  claiming, for the years to come.  I just hope that I’m continually honoring His name through my deeds, for this is the only way I can think of...

Celebrating Another Year of My Life...

There's always a first time for everything.  I am celebrating my birthday here in Gensan.  Since we will be having a long weekend due to the Holy Week, our family decided to spend it here.  And being a Christian Catholic, our practice in fasting applies, no meat, we will be having sea foods then.  I hope that's alright.  But whatever will be served in the table tonight, it doesn't really matter... what matters for me, is I have my family to celebrate it with... and I have God whom I owe and offer my life.

I will be celebrating life while remembering Jesus as He offered His life to save us all.  It makes me appreciate how precious our lives are, for Jesus to sacrifice Himself for us... for His love for mankind.  For if not for Him, I won't be having this life today.

For tonight, we will be preparing tunaballs with sweet and sour sauce..hmmm...looks yummy.. my daughter is baking her masterpiece, pineapple and mandarin upside down...that's definitely gonna be make our mouths water. this afternoon, we will be going to the market to buy some fish and shrimps...i cant wait for tonight...

Savoring every moments...
For the preparations...

Simple sweet moments...
Thank you Lord for this life, thank you for my family and friends... and thank you for still believing in us despite the sins we commit.  To Yours be the glory and only Yours, my God.

Just simply thanking God for everything...
