Dad's Day, Her Day

We had a perfect Sunday with our family.  There was a lot of reason to celebrate, it's father's day and the birthday of the most lovely, caring and loving woman in the whole universe... and I am lucky enough to have her as my wife.  So when we went to church, I thank our Heavenly Father for bringing her to our lives, apart from the many blessings my family received... from our jobs and personal improvements, to the welfare and health of our family,  He has been good to us.

Then we proceed to the nearby mall to treat the family to a simple meal in celebrating my wife's birthday... and coincidentally, father's day.  We knew that it would be tough to find a decent place to eat considering there was an occasion, but what we were not prepared of is that a famous TV personality had a guest appearance in the mall, making it more crowded.  It was still too early for dinner and wanted to just roam around the mall than to stay to the activity area where the crowd was, but my daughter was a fan of the fella, so I end up joining the crowd and carrying her in my shoulders.

Whew!!! wasn't I'm glad when the show was finally over.  Good thing we made an early reservations to a restaurant just within the mall, that we just waited for the time we set for the food to be served.  Or else we would still be looking for a place to dine or be in the waiting list.  It was a bountiful meal, we just didn't thought it would be that plenty, as we just ordered food good for 10 persons (less than 10 adults and a couple of children).  But hey, whose complaining?  At least everyone had enough, and we still had some to bring home.

We had a pleasant evening with the rest of the clan. I knew my wife did... with that familiar smile in her face, and it's enough for me to see that I made her day.  And to see and hear the laughter of our children... seeing them enjoying the moment with us, was already a fulfillment for me.  I could say, "this is what celebrating Father's Day is all about".

The June celebrants... our wives.

To my beloved wife, my Enoi... happy, happy birthday.  May our Lord bless you with good health as always.  Looking forward to spend a hundred more with you.

As a dad:  I would carry my children in my shoulders... in my back... in my arms... as long as I can.  So I won't regret someday when I can no longer carry them anymore.  Happy Father's Day to all.  Yahweh bless.

Just Made My Day

It's Fathers' Day and I was greeted with  morning hugs and kisses from my kids and my wife...hhhmmm how lucky can one get, having a wife and two (soon to be three) kids to cherish...Everyday is like fathers day to me, special and sweet.

But since there is a specific day to celebrate it, what do I like to do today for Father's Day?  Well, maybe go to the spa and have an hour of relaxing massage... or go to the mall and watch a movie or something... or stay home and just surf the net...

I'd like to do all that but a simple meal outside with the family, have a visit to the church to light candles and give thanks to the Lord... go home and spend the rest of the day with my family would be more that enough.  And I can't think of spending it better and more significant than this.  Yahweh bless.

Happy Fathers' Day... Camp Holiday

I'm very blessed to have my family with me, Sunday and the following day is a holiday Monday... More so is that its Father's day and we are celebrating it here at Camp Holiday... Wow, what a package... hahaha.  I have with me the rest of the guys... my relatives and friends.  Most of us are fathers... Being in the occasion, I'll talk about being a father... so what is it to be a father... well to tell you frankly, being a father for 8 years, I'm still learning along with my wife and my children.  It is as if every day there's something new to learn... but it's a journey I'm most willing to take in life.  I enjoy every moment, along with my wife, as we watch our children grow and discovering new things along the way.

Staying outdoors.
Today we are spending the two day holiday with my big family at Camp Holiday... to get the feel of staying outdoors, we have decided to put up a tent and spend the night on it instead of getting accommodated on a cottage. It was fun assembling the tent, we were like in grade school again getting so excited in a camping activity. It was a perfect time to celebrate Fathers day where everybody just came to have fun, not thinking about work, everyone just wants to relax and unwind.

Enjoying the beach at night.
The moment we arrived at the site, we couldn't stop the kids from jumping into the pool, good thing they already have their swim wear on. The pool was made for kids so we didn't have worrying to do cause the water was only their waist deep.

And guys, it's also our national hero's 150th birth anniversary... I guess I'm getting used to this multiple celebration thing (LOL).  Just a trivia, do you know the whole name of our national hero?  It's Dr. José Protacio Mercado Rizal y Alonzo Realonda... (so you should be glad having just two long names).  There is a proposed bill that Rizal day be transferred from December 30 (his death anniversary) to June 19 (his birthday)... I say, why not both... more holidays (haha). But seriously, we should give Dr. Rizal the honor he deserves for what he had done to our country... even to the point of offering his own life.
June lovely wives birthday celebrants...

To my sister-in-law, Donna, a happy, happy birthday to you... May Yahweh bless you with more, good health and a pleasant day ahead of you...

Happy Father's Day to all... be responsible and good role models to your children... Yahweh bless us all.

Enjoying the rest of the day with the kids.
