Will Twilight's Breaking Dawn Break Record Charts?

Almost everyone I know is so eager to watch Twilight's Breaking Dawn that I can't help but think that it might break an all time box office record.  This is the nth time that a co-worker asked me if I'm going to watch the movie's premier. It made me think, why would I risk my life fighting  for premier tickets and swim through an ocean of people when I can comfortably watch it next week?  Unless of course if my wife, which by the way is an avid fan of this saga, asks me to... hehehe.

If I may ask, how did vampires and werewolves, from being dreadful, antagonist, and feared upon, become the lead characters and protagonists in a story.  Maybe these lovely and handsome looking actors are to blame... from Interview With A Vampire's Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and Antonio Banderas... to the present Bella, Edward, Jacob and the rest of the clan... not to mention their awesome abilities and powers... no wonder vampires and werewolves today are more related to a superhero than  monsters as what the earlier generations picture them.

So, what to expect?  From what I can remember from my wife relaying to me what she read... the story would probably start where Bella and Edward had to tell Charlie about their plan of getting married.  The wedding will take place, then a honeymoon in a secluded island.  Bella will later discover her pregnancy and the danger it would bring her. There would definitely be an action-packed  confrontation between Jacob and Edward... and the clash between the werewolves and the Cullen Family with Jacob backing them up... all these just to defend Bella and her pregnancy, which the werewolves consider as a threat.  The ending? hhhmmm... Jacob's imprinting with Bella's child, Renesmee, that would be a good  ending... making you look forward to what's next. What do you think? Well, I think we should watch it then... hahaha.

As I have mentioned, my wife is an avid fan of this movie saga... LOL.  She had read all these black books and had been caught with it for quite sometime.  So, there's no question if we are going to watch the movie.  I just hope the movie will bring justice to the book.. coz if it does... I'm more than sure that it would break a movie record... and not the hearts of those who passionately followed this saga... So, just cross your fingers everyone and enjoy the movie with your companions... Yahweh bless.

  1. I have seen the movie 6 hours ago. :) I'm not a big fan of the Twilight saga unlike your wife. The film is great pero there's something wrong with it. Di ko lang po mapin point. And yes, it's better to watch it next week.

  4. wow. I didn't you're married :) must have been awesome married to a wife who's so much in love with the series. I mean, no offense. It always fascinate me seeing those people eyes glittering with so much excitement when heard about "Twilight Saga",), I just couldn't stop feeling their excitement too. ugh! I'm not a fan of all the books but I read them all (just for the sake of being fully equip in terms of social conversation)..but I love it, I mean, to be fair, the book wasn't that bad and so is the movie itself. It's too much for a fiction though (vampires glittering under the hit of the sun sounds stupid), but who cares? haha! anyway =)

lage din ako sa premier nanunuod kc ayoko na nahuhuli. haha! I don't care about the crowd as long as I get to watch the twilight series first! ^_^

  5. I am happy to report that I have NOT watched any of these movies NOR have I read the books. I have no desire or interest in any of it. In fact, I am so over this whole vampire/werewolf thing altogether.

  9. My sister is a fan of the Twilight series ... I've never had the chance to read any of the books or watch any of the previous movies in full ... I guess not-so-rave reviews about the story being too cheesy ... But hey, I'm not closing my doors to it ... :D

  10. I never read any of the books and to be honest, when the first movie came out I figured it was just a "teen movie" thing. We only watched it because it was a new movie on one of the movie channels (HBO?). I was suprised by how much I really liked it! In short order we rented the next 2 movies when they came out. Loved them! Couldn't wait till this movie came out, which we actually intend to watch in the theatre this time (LOL!). Great post, thanks! :)-Katwin2010

  11. I watched the movie yesterday with my wife... and we both liked it... I'm not much of a critic with regards to the graphic effects... so over all, I'm satisfied with the story... maybe, I just liked the reactions of the viewers affected by some scenes in the movie... hehehe.

If you haven't been following the saga... I suggest you watch it from the beginning (Twilight)... so you can appreciate the story... thanks for the wonderful comments, guys... Yahweh bless.

  13. I find the story way "bitin", aside from the story (there's a Part 2, right?). lacked the punch that the first movie had. for more, http://therealsuperstu.blogspot.com/2011/11/part-1-is-better-than-breaking-dawn-1.html
